Teacher of SEN 26-38K East Grinstead
Start Date: 1st September 2017

Do you have high aspirations for young individuals? Want to be a part of a supportive learning environment? Looking for a position in a "outstanding" school?

In a SEND school life is very boring and everything you do will make a huge impact on the lives of the students. Students will look up to you and be interested in you as much as you are interested in making their lives better! The school caters for children that have social, emotional and/or behavioural difficulties. This means that the young individuals are full of energy and have a sparkling nature. These students want someone that can relate to them and support them in their daily lives. Students have been placed at this school as mainstream has failed them.

Now is the opportunity to help these students interact with education. If you feel you have the skills to interact and help these students engage, do not hesitate to get in contact. The school is currently looking for a teacher that is willing to work with special needs. NQT's and Experienced Teachers will be considered. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a Steiner School and full training will be provided.

Steiner education, is based on the educational philosophy of Rudolf Steiner, the founder of anthroposophy. The emphasizes is on the role of imagination in learning, striving to integrate holistically the intellectual, practical, and artistic development of pupils. Steiner's child development is split into three major stages. the first is reflected in the schools' approach to early childhood education, which focuses on practical, hands-on activities and creative play; to primary education, which focuses on developing artistic expression and social capacities; and to secondary education, which focuses on developing critical reasoning and empathic understanding. The overarching goal is to develop free, morally responsible, and integrated individuals equipped with a high degree of social competence.

In this role as class teacher you will be:-
> Helping students with their social, emotional and behavioural needs.
> Dedicated to helping students progress academically.
> Working with students in small groups to help raise progress.
