Our client, a small but growing business, is looking for an enthusiastic, organised and customer focused administrator with good customer service skills to join their busy but friendly team. They offer good training and career progression. This role is an excellent chance to show what you are capable of across a wide variety of tasks. The key skills we are looking for are the ability to liaise effectively with clients and offer good customer service, organise your workload, enter costs and charges accurately, see abnormalities in number patterns and raise queries with clients. You will need to be numerate and locate abnormalities or mistakes in large quantities of data using excel. You will need to be able to calculate simple percentages in your head.

  • Dealing with customer invoices and resolving queries
  • Validate invoices daily, in accordance with procedures and customer SLA
  • Query billing errors as per company procedures
  • Liaising with customers and suppliers in a professional way to ensure the smooth running of the office
  • Maintain knowledge of own customer invoice cycle
  • Management of disconnection notices and reminders on a daily basis
  • Keeping an up to date schedule on Excel spreadsheets
  • Provide quality customer service to customers in dealing with any queries and complaints
  • Running of regular report for clients and management
  • Building strong relationships with clients
  • Issuing contracts and liaison with clients and supplies when switching contracts to ensure smooth running and continued energy supply
  • Sending renewal letters
  • Supporting members of the team
  • Updating website


  • Confident with client contact and able to raise queries with clients and sometimes to make complaints to suppliers
  • Must be confident with Excel and able to work with detailed formulas
  • Must be able to calculate percentages without the use of a calculator so that you can see abnormalities in the figures
  • Must have a knack for numbers which can be reflected by education or work experience
  • Good at mental maths (for example, can you calculate 3% of 150 or 4% of 300,000?)
  • Methodical and organised
  • Good at juggling tasks and prioritising
  • Computer literate with good typing and numerical skills
  • A good level of English, spelling and grammar
  • Clear, confident telephone manner
  • Accurate with good attention to detail
  • Shows initiative and enthusiasm
