Hi there, we are Elysium - a dynamic, well-established and friendly software development company, creating straightforward, future-proof solutions for our wide range of clients. Our office is based in East Sussex, on the edge of beautiful Ashdown Forest.

We are looking for an experienced developer to join our growing team. Our focus is Ruby on Rails, but transferable experience in similar technologies is more than welcome.

As a developer at Elysium you will be involved in projects of all shapes and sizes, from idea generation and design creation, to implementation and maintaining the final concept, your opinions and contributions will be encouraged and valued.

You will become a key player in maintaining our high standards for customer deliverables. You will challenge potential solutions to ensure that the product not only meets the specification but excels when further updates are made.

We are looking for someone who has:

  • Experience of working in a commercial software development team or significant non-commercial experience
  • Detailed knowledge of an object orientated programming language
  • Relational database design.
  • A passion for considered and forward thinking software design
  • A willingness to support and mentor junior members of the team
  • Motivation and ability to rise to individual challenges and is driven to lead effectively in groups.
  • A love of Board Games and Lego (desired but not totally essential)
