Our client who is one of the leading suppliers of building materials in the UK are looking for a District Operations Manager for Concrete in Allington, Kent. This role covers a number of concrete plants in the areas of Somerset, Gloucester and Bristol. Responsible for the Health & Safety of staff, contractors and visitors, Production and Operational performance in accordance with company procedures, Site and Plant management and maintenance to ensure operational efficiency and environmental responsibility and compliance with company, legal and industry requirements. You will be working Monday - Friday (some weekends) 40 hour week and receive a salary of £45,000 per annum Main Duties - To achieve agreed safety, cost, profit, quality and service objectives through the successful and effective management of the district operations team. - To proactively identify and pursue opportunities to improve operational performance. - Provide leadership in a style that both drives the business to achieve its objectives and creates the conditions in which the team are well motivated and high performing. - Communicate to the team in a clear and effective manner, business expectations, including performance requirements and results. - Develop the team, both individually and collectively, by agreeing Personal Action Plans and addressing these through delegation, coaching, mentoring and learning programmes.
