Area Sales Manager – Diamond tools South East and N East London £30000-£34000 bonus car healthcare, pension benefits This long established, global organisation is one of the market leaders in their field. They invest heavily and regularly in R & D and NPD and are one of the major manufacturers and suppliers or diamond tools. Their customer base includes National and Independent Building & Plumbing Merchants, Ceramic Tile outlets, Plant & Tool Hire, Power Tool and Fixing & Fastening companies. In order to further strengthen their team, they have a requirement for a talented Area Sales Manager to cover the South East and North East London. Reporting to the National Sales Manager, you will be tasked with promoting a superb range of high quality products throughout your area. You’ll be selling directly and indirectly via Builders and Plumbing Merchants, Engineering Merchants, Welding Distributors, Power Tool Distributors and Hire companies and you’ll be responsible for winning profitable new business and managing and growing existing accounts. The role will see you building long term working relationships and you’ll be responsible for training distributor staff on products and providing technical advice and support. You will also be required to demonstrate the full product range, hold customer open days, training events and attend various exhibitions. A successful field sales track record within the diamond or abrasive industry is preferred however you could be in a similar role within Power Tools, Fixings & Fasteners, Hand Tools, Silicons or a similar product. What is however, essential, is a successful track record of managing distributors within the Construction or Engineering sectors. You should be extremely self motivated and an excellent communicator who can sell directly to end users as well as via dealers. IT literate with a real will to win, you will be able to demonstrate a track record in new business wins as well as account growth.
