Would you like a rewarding career working with a diverse and sometimes challenging client group?
Have you worked with groups or trained groups of people?
At Kent, Surrey and Sussex Community Rehabilitation Company (KSS CRC), we deliver a range of rehabilitation services to people who have been sentenced by a court to either custody or community supervision and who are classed as low to medium risk. We are here to reduce re-offending and help keep safe the communities in which we operate. We believe a person can stop re-offending if they accept responsibility for their actions and the support we offer to make change happen.
The role of Programme Facilitator is to deliver a range of group work Programmes and courses aimed at changing challenging behaviour and patterns of thinking.
This could include working with domestic abuse perpetrators and some work will be undertaken on a one-to-one basis.
The role requires you to work with Probation colleagues and other agencies. Facilitators are required to evaluate on-going risk factors for individual service users as well as contributing to the overall effectiveness of the programme delivery. This includes maintaining records on individuals' performance and report writing.
Full training will be given as part of the role.
We have a variety of full time and part time vacancies across Kent and Surrey. Whilst you will be based from a specific location you will be required to travel and be flexible to deliver programmes across several of our sites. All facilitators are required to work unsociable periods delivering sessions (this is likely to be evenings and weekends), in addition to some daytime sessions. Enhanced payments are made for working unsociable hours.
To succeed, you will need to be willing to work with challenging people who face difficult or demanding problems. Training will be given some of which may be residential (up to 5 days at a time).
